On September 8th 2018 Sebastian had an appalling bike accident while training for a triathlon. He broke his neck, several ribs and four vertebrae. One of the vertebrae fractures was only 1 mm from touching the spinal cord. That day Seb promised himself to recover, train as hard as ever and qualify for the IronMan 70.3 World Championship. On September 8th, 2019, exactly one year after his accident, Sebastian raced the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France. This is his story.
